There's a Ghost In My House - R. Dean Taylor

Spooky blue-eyed soul from one of the few white artists on Motown/Rare Earth and the only man called Dean who doesn't work in QuickFit.

I've never actually seen a ghost, but I once went out with a semi-famous woman who reckoned that her house was possessed by the mahogany carving of an African deity that her lodger had bought at a car boot sale at Tripes Farm near Orpington.

She once rang me in a state of panic at 3am to tell me she'd seen a raven in her back garden... It was the last time I ever spoke to her.

Sha-La Love You - Lancelot Link & The Evolution Revolution

The stars of 70's kid's TV show Lancelot Link, Secret Chimp were PG Tips-style lip-synching chimpanzees (the effect was created by them trying to suck gum off their teeth). An album was recorded to accompany the show and, as written/performed/produced by ex-Grass Root Steve Hoffman, it's easily one of the greatest bubblegum records ever made.

I couldn't find a decent picture of the Lancelot Link chimps, so here's one of a thumb-sucking monkey doll. The dolls are called Monchichis and are sooooo cute... I'm currently bidding on a rare boy/girl pair of tennis-playing Monchichis on eBay. Wish me luck!
