Alone - Marvin Gaye and Diana Ross

I will never use the word 'Operatic' to describe something that isn't opera.

Love this song. Makes me weep - like the bit in 'Fearless' when Jeff Bridges nearly chokes on a strawberry.

The whole Marvin/Diana duets album is great and the title is in a nice Fruits of the Forest purple.

Good Girls Don't - the Knack

Aside from looking like the sort of fake new wave band you'd see on Hill Street Blues, ace 1980's L.A. power popsters The Knack were - lyrically-speaking - the sleaziest band to ever 'shift units' to teenagers. I love 'em.
